This is a "faux" rock concrete retaining wall that a client had installed at a house in Bow. While the wall served it's purpose, it didn't really look like actual rocks. It was missing some of the natural petina and wear that you'd normally see on a stone wall.
Using a combination of 5 or 6 different concrete stains, this is what we came up with. We layered colors to provide depth and accented with touches or green and orange to reflect moss and minerals.
Filling in color around an existing border, now that's some attention to detail!.
If you have an old tired staircase and don't want to invest into replacing it, consider painting! There are interior products that hold up well to foot traffic on floors and stairs.
